You can also see more at this link:

I understand from information associated with the link that it is due to
enter regular service in Spring 2010. But is there a more specific date,
I wonder?

I can imagine months of trials, with glitches coming to light,
followed by abandonment and replacement with minibuses. It is
probably just a gimmick that will soon be forgotten.

I can easily see "glitches" coming to late and "safety" issues arising, to
say nothing of what is going to happen on the first days of service.

I do hope that they can eventually get something going, though I imagine
that a wait-and-see approach would be the best thing at this moment.

There has been a testing programme going on off-site for the last
couple of years. But if you were going to apply a virtually untried
technology to its first, full scale practical application, I think
Heathrow Airport is the last place on earth you should choose,

Where do you think would be best?

Butlins.
