The Great Leader has announced plans for a massive increase in the
number of high speed passenger trains in the USA.
There's more about it here

And if you look at it the accompanying picture is of a London Tube
train on what may be, by the colour of the old tiling, on the
Bakerloo line.
I think it's actually a Jubilee Line train.
Which proves if nothing else that their journalists are no better at
appropriate pictures than ours are
Though it looks like some kind of advert-supported self-publishing sort
of thing, rather than "conventional" media(?).
Of course, there's a good chance that a US journalist has never actually
travelled on a train, which is less likely with a London-based BBC
journo.
Presumably it's a bit hard to illustrate a US high speed train, unless
you can snap an Acela on right little bit of track.
USD8bn spread over loads of projects won't buy much per project, so
there must be a long way to go. And beware of the US use of "high speed"
- like "light rail", it might not be quite what Europeans think.
