From Chiltern's point of view, the ideal situation would surely be for
whatever was chosen to be compatible with the ATP equipment (or even
tripcocks) fitted to the 165/0s and 168s, even if it only provides
partial supervision...or at least designed in such a way that it'd be
easy to make a magic box to "translate" the SSR signalling information
into a form that the ATP kit can understand, whilst still being able to
be used between Marylebone and Aynho in the normal way.
