Finsbury park mysery tunnel
Unless I'm very much mistaken, it was Boltar ),

When you go northboard on a picc train just leaving finsbury park
station if you look left out of the train there is a large empty
space in the tunnel and what looks like a small tunnel or cavity
disappearing south from it going back behind the station wall.
Anybody know what this is or was?
It's something like this:
The running lines for the Picadilly and Victoria (the latter using the
platforms formerly of the GN line into Moorgate) was 'swapped', I believe
during the 1960s, to allow cross-platform interchange between the two
northbound and southbound lines respectively - e.g. the Picc. is only using
one of it's original tunnels, and one of the Vic/GM ones, and vice versa.
This means that there are little bits of runinng tunnel abandoned (or saved
for stock transfer/emergency purposes) where the lines have been diverted to
different platforms.
