They would be a very inexperienced employer in that case.


We're not talking about some cultural loyalty, we're talking about whether
it is reasonable to expect such a person to have the loyalty adhere to a set
of rules


In my experience the more people are paid, the more they consider that
such "rules" don't apply to them. They may also be more flexible about
turning out to do work things when otherwise expecting to be on a break,
but that's a different issue.
