You do realise you've just contradicted yourself?

I've only talked about /day/ returns. And, checking on the GA web site, it
appears I was wrong. Any Permitted Off-peak (period) returns are valid from
Liverpool St in the evening peak.

There is also a GA only Off-Peak (period) Return which is valid in the
morning peak earlier than the Any Permitted version (is that allowed?) but
not in the evening peak.
