The thing about this is the bridge is 3.6m in height and the direction it was travelling in has three signs stating that, one on each side of
the road before the bridge and one on the bridge itself.


Isn't the problem often that the driver forgets he is in a double
decker, or assumes the route he's on [even if he's unknowingly
off-route] has been cleared for DD's?

On the other hand, this bridge was only 80cm too low.
