"Use of" an Oyster is separate from the arrangements for issuing them.

You misunderstand, not for the first time.

You've got the wrong end of the stick, not for the first time.

In order to get TOCs to accept
Oyster they had to agree to give railcard discounts on them.

I'm not suggesting the TOCs stop giving Railcard discounts.

My speculation above is about the process of *issuing* a relevant
Oyster with the Railcard 'loaded' onto it. They have to do that
before you start making any discounted journeys.

My head is hurting too much from the Perry brick wall too.
