My first thoughts we
"Who the **** is Will Self ?",
A writer. Has had several books published. Regularly writes pieces for
various publications and also does stuff for the radio. Is usenet really
such a hotbed of philistinism? Apparently so.
Anyone who hasn't heard of Will Self is rather fortunate, I reckon.
I first heard of him in 1997 when he snorted heroin on John Major's
plane during the election campaign and then lied to his employer (The
Observer) about it. I don't usually find his pieces worth reading,
and the Crossrail one was no exception.
He seems to have a high opinion of himself. I must admit my attention
wandered quite soon.
