I don't find that. In general, indeed, I find myself picking at little
things to find anything to criticise about the S-stock. It's made me go
from avoiding the shallow Tube to actively choosing it, if there is a viable choice.
Yes, I'm a fan if the S stock, too. They seem very smooth, quiet trains as
they speed along the Met, and I've even got to tolerating the hard seats.
So very different to the ear-splitting compressors and lurching suspension
on the A stock.
That was part of the experience, though.
