One year they're telling us the bright yellow grab poles everywhere are for
the partially sighted, disability laws blah blah, the next they refurb the
northern line trains in dark blue. Never mind joined up thinking, is there
any thinking going on at all down there?

Having said that the refurb does look nice but I am wondering just how
necessary it was to spend millions on it when there was little wrong with
the old interior that a lick of paint couldn't have fixed.

I thought it a shame that the line colour-coding has been lost in
favour of a generic interior.

Perhaps ultimately it can't be justified in terms of cost. Or perhaps they
have cascade plans in mind already for when the new trains for the central
and piccadilly come along. Either way, the interiors of the northern line
trains didn't look too shabby to me , I can't see how this refurb is
justified at the moment.
