Default Ticket Validity

OK is it a single journey. Well most people travel on the Underground to
get from A to B. Trips A to A are not what the Underground was meant for
:-)

Will you get into trouble doing it? I doubt it. Will you look like a
nutter? Probably.

CUSTOMER: My ticket wont work the exit gate.
STATION ASSISTANT: Can I see you ticket please sir?
CUSTOMER: Here you are.
STATION ASSISTANT: This is a single from this station sir, can I see your
return?
CUSTOMER: I didn't get off the train I just went around the Circle Line.
STATION ASSISTANT: [This guy is a nutter]

Which is exactly what I did on thursday, and they refused to let me
back out of the system. While they admitted I could happily go 400
yards down the track (from West Kensington to Earls Court in this
case), and exit the system (or indeed exit at Olympia where there are
no barriers), they wouldn't let me out at west kensington. In future
I'll buy a platform ticket, which will cost me less then a zone1 - 2
ticket.
