Of course most Tube strikes don't actually happen.
Of course not, TfL generally bends over and takes it giving in to most of their
idiotic demands instead of finding a pair of balls and standing up to them.
IMO its time for a showdown - a few weeks of tube strikes would be worth it for
nailing these 2 unions out to dry permanently.
What's the latest on driverless trains?
Nothing new. Future tube trains will still always be manned in passenger
service, even if the attendant isn't necessarily sitting in a cab at the
front (the trains may drive themselves unmanned in ECS mode). And whatever
the attendant's normal role, they will still be able to drive the trains in
manual mode should that be necessary, just as on the DLR. So if the
'customer service manager', or whatever they choose to call them, goes on
strike, the train won't run.
