Maybe they can swap them for some rolling stock suitable for journeys
from Reading to Chelmsford. Comfortable seating, sanitary facilities,
catering, that sort of thing. :-)

I can understand your P.O.V. but Corssrail will only run out as far as
Shenfield, replacing the all-stations service from Liv.Street.
Similar situation re. Reading-Paddington.

Reading to Celmsford will probably by quicker & more comfortable
changing to / from Crossrail at Paddington & Stratford.
