There's been a massive flurry of Tweets from Thameslink about their new
trains today. Still not completely clear whether or not there are
(m)any in passenger service though. Did a trip from Blackfriars to
SPILL to see if any were in evidence, but none were.
They had a scheduled launch event today at Blackfriars.
Launch of what, though? Running some of the trains in service from
now onwards; just running one today in service; or not actually
running any at all in service yet?
Press preview, the Roger Ford "Fist of Quality", etc. I didn't see any
announcement about entry into passenger service.
I notice that one
of the pictured doors has a cycle graphic on it, especially for you.

If they can persuade the cyclists to only block that one vestibule, I
suppose it's an improvement.
There is a cycle storage area away from the doors. It has tip-up seats on
the carriage wall though. Judging by similar arrangements on SWT it will be
impossible to shift passengers sitting in them to put bikes there.
