Driving (sorry!) this afternoon (16/3) the BBC London travel news kept
referring to delays on the Picc "due to a shortage of trains". Is
that shorthand for some kind of mechanical issue requiring unscheduled
inspections?
"Sources have told the BBC that there is a Piccadilly line train
shortage due to drivers refusing to take out some trains over concerns
with brakes."
Translation: They fancied a day off.
Nice try.
Whatever the reason, it sure as hell won't be because of any brake issues.
Perhaps some button pusher had an argument with his supervisor or maybe the
toilet paper was too rough for his sensitive backside. Either way no doubt
him and his bone idle overpaid colleagues decided to flex their collective
muscle in an informal way to show who's really in charge.
