I must point out to anyone unfamiliar with this stretch of the
railway, that the over-use of the zoom distorts enormously
the layout of the route. The curve just east of Leytonstone
High Road Station is nothing like as severe as suggested and
the gradient west of the station does not drop down in the
manner shown..
I notice that in the current issue of Rail Christian Wolmar is
very critical of the way the GOBLIN electrification has been
handled.
So why are they talking about halving frequency from March 18th if the
new trains are good to go? Or is that now scrapped?
