Is it just me or does it seem like someone at the top of TfL has it
in for the Borough of Bromley?

The Tube stops as New Cross, the Tram stops at Elmers End/Beckenham
Junction and the 726 coach is now to finish in Croydon. The Bromley
North branch lost its through trains years ago and Thameslink
services to Sevenoaks are now a distant memory.

Your concern isn't shared by the London Borough of Bromley. Their web
site talks about "Excellent rail links to central London with a direct
service from Bromley South taking only 16 minutes [which may explain why
through trains from Bromley North ceased], and a range of services from
the other 26 rail stations in the Borough serving London main line
stations."

"The Tramlink terminus at Beckenham Junction provides another artery
into the Borough, and the New Addington terminus has a direct bus link
to Biggin Hill and surrounding areas." The Tramlink terminus at Elmers
End is also within the Borough.
