So why doesn't the car or truck you drive to and from work every day
get the same fuel economy the government, the manufacturer, and us
trusted legions of automotive journalists seem to promise it will?...

I know, it's a sod isn't it? I've yet to get less than 10% MORE than
the official figure for any car I've owned.

The problem is with the figures is that the testing is done by people
who actually have a partial clue how to drive economically.
