Aircon to Putney? Don't make me laugh!
I'm not being funny. The 4tph service between Waterloo and the
Hounslow Loop which stops at Putney has been air-conditioned (Desiro
class 450) since December 2004.
AFAIK
the Windsor trains that provide a
2tph service at Putney are also Desiro-worked. That leaves the 4tph
Kingston loop service which I believe is still worked with Class 455.
So
that's 6 out of 10 tph off-peak which are air-conditioned. I think it's
similar in the peaks.
OIC. If the fares were more sensible I might have noticed better, then.
Mind you we always called it the Kingston roundabout service.
