So will Friday mark the end of Routemaster service by buses with
their original registration marks?
No, as not all RMs lost their original registrations. I work off
Piccadilly and haven't seen any RMs on he 9 bearing non-original
marks yet.
You surprise me because I haven't yet seen any 9s or 15s _with_
their original registration marks. Nor have I seen any RMLs on the
heritage routes.
*All* 20 RMs allocated to the 9 and 15 retain their original
registrations.
First

A look at the fleetlist in the enthusiast section on:
http://www.firstlondontimetables.co.uk/
confirms that the First vehicles carry original numbers.
Stagecoach

A quick search through the 2005 LOTS fleetbook shows that the
Stagecoach ones do as well.
How strange. I could have sworn the two I saw near Trafalgar Square
earlier this week both had non-original registrations.
Guess you saw two 159's
