Sorry Tunnelrat, but there are plenty of people who would love to do our
job, think that we are overpaid (not by industry standards anymore),

You are. Compare yourselves to medical staff , police etc. And don't
even bother with the standard issue "well thats up to them/they're
unions
etc" bull**** speech. You're overpaid. End.

Personally I voted for strike action, because these policies are
draconian in the extreme, it takes something to get me to vote for a
strike, I don't think it will actually come to ASLEF going out on
strike, but the RMT are a different kettle of fish and like wasting
their members money.

Something I've always wondered. If you lot down at LU find your jobs
so much hassle and stress that you always want to strike , why don't
you do what everyone else in the working population does when they
hate their jobs and bloody resign? Most people in my industry (IT)
usually move on within 2 - 3 years. Why can't you lot? There are only 2

reasons I can think of:

A) Your job is a cushy number and you all know it so you'll never leave

or

B) You're all too ****ing dim to get employment doing anything else.

Which is it?
