Default Can't cancel auto-topup

I have been using autotopup since the start but will be leaving
London soon :-) so I don't want it to do any more top ups in the
mean time. If I am running out of money I can put £5 on myself at a
station.

I can't actually cancel auto topup without knowing, 24 hours in
advance, what journey I will be doing.

I normally cycle everywhere and only get the tube if I have been
drinking, if it's raining or in other limited circumstances hence I
can't specify a station more than a few hours in advance.

I would have thought that it wasn't necessary to take an actual journey
in order to cancel auto top-up. Just specify a station that you can
conveniently cycle to, touch the card on a gate, then get the ticket
office to cancel the resulting unresolved journey. That worked for me
(except the cycling bit!) when I first put auto top-up on my Oyster
card, so it should work for cancelling it too.
