Zone extensions with Oyster?

Seems fairly clear to me.
Surely this will cause problems at times when the gates are open because
a large number of people need to be moved out of the station at a high
rate. I'm thinking particularly here of places like Hyde Park Corner
during events in the Park. Surely everybody stopping to have their
Oysters scanned is going to reduce throughput somewhat.
