But the Megabus uses the coach station they cannot get rid of it.

No they don't. Megabus uses the Greenline coach station on Bulleid Way,

National Express and others use Victoria Coach Station.

An increasing number of passengers will use both as some people get
priced off the railways whilst others are attracted by the cheap coach
fares.
