Depends what the CCTV license states the purpose is for.

If the license (or whatever it's called) states that it's for
traffic charging only, then they can't use it for ANPR etc.


Wanna bet? I'm sure if the police wanted to know who travelled past
one of the cameras at midnight on saturday, they'd be able to get
that information. In the same way as CCTV cameas at petrol stations
can be linked to the national ANPR database. There are no places to
hide in this supposedly free country.




If all this was working as well as it is said it would, then all those
cartax dodgers and SORN violators would quickly get found out.

But it seems they still do not get found out.
