Wanna bet? I'm sure if the police wanted to know who travelled past one of
the cameras at midnight on saturday, they'd be able to get that
information. In the same way as CCTV cameas at petrol stations can be
linked to the national ANPR database. There are no places to hide in this
supposedly free country.

My experience of other areas of police work is that they will often use
evidence which will not be admissable in court if it leads them to other
things which would be.
