The thing about Camden is that every part of it needs replacing or
expanding (as well as interchange passages, it also needs a much
larger ticket hall, more entrances, etc), so I don't think there's
anything surprising about them wanting to demolish the whole lot and
start again.

I presume the business case for new interchange passages alone isn't
that strong, or the work is harder than it looks, or they'd have done
it ages ago.
