Eating food on the train.

So today both ways in the rush hour I have to sit next to someone eating
some disgusting thing out of a second hand plastic bag. This morning it
was some objectionable darkening banana with some mix of other noisy
stuff which he helpfully placed on the middle seat on top of the metro
paper for everyone to be irritated by. I never new I was so sensitive to
the smell of over ripe bananas or the noise of them being consimed and
indeed the whole pantomime of opening the containers, balancing them on
a bag while reading a book etc etc.
Are we to assume that food brought on to the train by common people
stinks, while food sold on the train to those who can afford it by
franchise-holders doesn't stink?
I think I detect some prejudice here.
Prejudice about what? I didnt raise any class/commonness issues. Im
pretty common myself. For mr its about people not having enough thought
for their fellow travellers to avoid subjecting them to the noise and
smell of their special dish . But I wouldnt have called it prejudice. I
would have called it 'finding other peoples behaviour disrespectful to
their fellow travellers'.
The SWT trains I travel on are cramped old and tired. There are no
trolley or food services, and indeed there are no toilets. There isnt
really room for food eating in the rush hour. I just dont want to be
next to Mr Yoghurt again.
Today funnily enough I say opposite Mrs 'Pick your fingers with your
teeth' from Ashtead. I didnt realise there was quite so much meaty
goodness in a set of fingers but it surely kept her busy all the way to
Wimbledon...
Funny old world. I gave her a name in regard to the other posters
response which I liked. The name I gave her wasnt 'horse' it was 'Cow'
