Northern Line - Is it realy running?

Hi,
Before leaving home this morning I got the news from the BBC that the
Northern Line was running again from Golders Green. So I got on the 82
at Finchley and got off at Golders Green rather than go down to
Finchley Road which has been my usual journey for the past 1.5 weeks.
I asked the gentleman at the barrier if the trains were indeed running
and he replied that they were and I could change at Euston for Bank.
But when I got to the platform there was an announcement that the
trains were only running as far as Hampstead and that people should
get the rail replacement service.
I checked the tfl website this morning and they are reporting that the
tube is running, so maybe this was a temporary problem. But having
read on the tfl website on Sunday that the service would be running on
Monday (and having got off the 82 at Golders Green because I believed
them) I'm beginning to believe that tfl have no idea what is
happening.

It was running Morden to Edgware via CX for some of today, but I'm not
sure when it went back to the original emergency timetable. This working
will carry on until the new timetable comes in on Sunday.
