Quite a lot bigger than tube (or Tube) gauge, though you're right
that not all standard EMUs would fit through the tunnel. 313s are at
least as big as LU sub-surface stock though...


The GNCR tunnels were built to 17' diameter. Probably not enough for OHLE
but still allowing full size trains. The 313s have essentially the same
body size as the DC-only 507 and 508 stocks, as well as the Southern
Region PEP prototypes.
