Hi. Could anyone please clarify a couple of questions for me?
I have a Visitors Travelcard for zones 1 and 2 and I want to go from a
station in zone 2 (Gloucester Road) to North Greenwich Tube station,
which
is on the borderline between zones 2 and 3.
Is that allowed or is North Greenwich considered to be in zone 3?
Yes, your ticket is valid for Gloucester Rd to North Greenwich.
A station on the borderline of two zones is considered to be in which ever
zone will benefit the passenger. So travelling to North Greenwich from
zone 1 it can be considered as a zone 2 station but traveling from zone 4
it can be considered a zone 3 station.
Is the Travelcard valid for all London buses in zones 1 to 6? I want to
go
to the Thames Barrier Infocentre in Woolwich.
Yes, a travel card covering any zone(s) is valid on the entire London bus
network. In effect, the bus network has no zones.
I have spent hours reading London Transport website, but I am still
uncertain.
I feel your pain. I've been here 7 years but am still unsure about some
things.
Enjoy your visit.
