I'm looking for a very quiet station, one with very little people
traffic either late at night or weekends, somewhere on the tube
network or a rail station not too far out, this is for an informal
photoshoot for which it's best to not have numerous people around.
so any suggestions? somewhere on a little-used oddity of a
branchline or even a disused station that can still be accessed, I
need tracks and platform not too overgrown.
Platform "0" at Southall. *It's the disused face of the island platform
that includes Platform 1 on the down main Great Western. *As trains pass
Platform 1 at 125 mph, it's not quiet sound-wise, but there are normally
no passengers on that island at any time of day or night as no trains
stop there. *Platform 0 has the occasional freight train; the track is
in good condition and the platform mostly so. *If you're interested, I
can send you some photos I took about a year ago.
that could be ideal, fast trains passing are no problem and could
actually be a bonus. Photos would be cool, email is markvarley at

For lots of background activity, but minimal direct interference,
there's always platform 1 at Clapham Junction (disused, island with
platform 2 with a short train every half hour, many busy platforms
beyond).
IME there's always several people waiting there though.-
Now I think of it, would there be many people waiting at platforms 16
and 17 after a certain hour? Could be better.
