Thanks to all who replied. I think we will be using either The
Grand Arcade or Queen Anne Terrace car park but I'm having trouble
working out how to get into the Grand Arcade car park. The parking
map supplied by Cambridge CC is somewhat ambiguous and the postcode
they give for use in sat-navs leads my Tom Tom to Peas Hill. Could
someone tell me if the entrance to the Grand Arcade car park is in
Downing Street or Corn Exchange Street?
You have to access Grand Arcade car park (Lion Yard on old maps) from
the South, via Tennis Court Road or Trumpington St. The signposting
makes it obvious from either.
If you're coming from London I would come off the M11 at junction 11
(or arrive there from the A10) and go through Trumpington. The road
eventually becomes Trumpington St.
Thanks Colin, that looks favorite. we're going to a "meet & greet"
with the band after the concert so hopefully the crowd exiting the
car park will have dispersed somewhat by the time we leave.
Yes, a "meet and greet" session sounds like an ace way of letting the car
park empty. :-)
You will keep clocking up car park charges at 80p an hour, mind.
