There've been discussions like this before. I believe that the Piccadilly
line can go upwards of 45 miles when it is passing Turham Green, and I have
certainly seen Central Line trains not going slowly on the western
extremities.
I know nothing of modern stock but the previous 62 stock above ground
with the "Flag up." had the top speed of 60, though with the power
handle off I have seen speeds of 65mph whilst coasting down to Debden.
