I thought it was going to be Aldwych when I saw the headline. Pleasant surprise! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-10612599 Very interesting indeed. I wonder if they will every have any tours of King William Street, just north of Baker Street on the Metropolitan. Also, what was the name of the station between Farringdon and KXSP? |

King William Street was near Bank, not Baker Street. Lord's was the station north of Baker Street. Also, what was the name of the station between Farringdon and KXSP? This was the original Kings Cross station. Peter Smyth |

Lord's was the station north of Baker Street. There is also Marlborough Road on the Met which is disused? Does anyone know if there is an entrance to Bull and Bush, or is it through the tunnels only. -- Clive |

No. http://maps.google.co.uk/?ie=UTF8&ll.... 74,,1,15.12 Bull & Bush -- is that the one near Angel station? Or am I confusing that with City Road, on which preliminary work started but was never completed? |

City Rd was a Northern Line Bank Branch station, it was closed during the 1920s modifications to enlarge the tunnels, apparently as low usage didn't justify its retention. Paul S |

City Road station, on City Road between Angel and Old Street, opened but later closed. Bull & Bush, up Hampstead way (between Hampstead and Golders Green), work started but then not proceeded with. |
