East Grinstead - Bedford 12-car Peak only Caterham - St Albans 8-car Tattenham Corner - Welwyn Garden City 8-car Tunbridge Wells - Bedford 12-car Peak only Ashford International -Luton 12-car Peak only 6tph via Elephant and Castle Maidstone East via Catford - Welwyn Garden City 8-car Sevenoaks via Catford - Luton 8-car Bellingham via Catford - St Albans 8-car -- Roland Perry |

Yes - that's a bit unannounced, otherwise the southern origins are pretty close to the 2008 SL RUS. I think Bellingham was previously a stopper from Orpington. Caterham and Tattenham Corner were shown as East Croydon/Norwood Jn starts; and the Tonbridge corridor services were previously shown as Tunbridge Wells and Paddock Wood (now Ashford). What is clearer from the multi colour table in the RUS is that the majority of the 'southern' services are grouped as 4 tph services on most of their route lengths. E.g. 4 tph via each of Redhill, Purley, Haywards Heath, Orpington and Bromley South. Paul S |

I read that and my first thought was that they'd opted for a positively Bellesque alignment.. http://www.bellingham-heritage.org.uk/ ... but then I realised there was one in London, too. -- Andy Breen, not speaking on behalf of Aberystwyth University "The internet, that wonderful tool for bringing us into contact with things that make us wish we could scrub our brains out with dental floss.." The London one is pronounced Belling'm. The Northumberland one is Bellin-jam. They might need to beef up the security of the Bellingham reversing/stabling sidings - they are apparently notorious for graffiti. Peter |
