How does that work for cross border services?

I often see a bus in Shrewsbury with Llandiloes - Newtown - Welshpool

and found "People living in Wales can also use their passes to travel
free on cross-boundary journeys in and out of England, provided the
journey starts or finishes in Wales"

There are similar extensions for some journeys to Scotland that start
or finish in England to/from Northumberland or Carlisle. Examples
Newcastle-Jedburgh, Carlisle-Gretna

The validity of the passes, in London, has changed. When introduced they
could not be used "too early", hence the name was coined.

And I can most certainly remember them doing it

I don't think there are any integrated transport policies that link London and Birmingham's networks together. However I do believe a national integrated transport policy i.s something we should be looking at establishing
