Bus stops with lights on the roof
Certain bus stops seem to have a bright red LED display on the roof,
pointing upwards. What's that for? Surely it can't be an advert aimed at the people on the top deck. It's a long time since I went upstairs on a bus, and I have only noticed them from the ground in hilly terrain, so I have no idea how common they are. |

Oh! Thanks! I have passed by some bus stops and noticed that somebody has placed on top of the shelters something with many sharp points sticking out of it. What could that be? Is it safe to assume that TfL is not associated with that? |

Designed to deter them from perching, nesting and generally making a mess of buildings and people. In this case, bus shelters and bus passengers. Often also seen atop passenger information systems in railway stations. |

I have seen anti-pigeon spikes normally around the edges of buildings or in the lower parts of bridges. |
