I was sent to a Catholic school 5 miles away. There was another one only
four miles away in the other direction.

So your nearest school was 4 miles away? In London? Sorry , I don't believe
you.

I don't like posting personal details about my kids but I will say that
in fact our nearest primary is a Catholic school but despite the fact
that my taxes helps pay for it they are not allowed to go there as
non-Catholics. The next nearest school has come in the bottom 10 of
schools in the whole of England. Kids were rejected from all our other
choices - about 15 or so - in our own and nearby boroughs.

You obviously live in a pikey area. Or Tower Hamlets which is just a slum.

Move.

I'd consider it if only there wasn't the slightest chance of ending up
next door to you.

No chance of that - you wouldn't be able to afford it.

That's fine - as an article in yesterday's Observer noted, the most
obnoxious neighbours are the stinking rich.

Ah , you can't quite beat a good dose of lefty envy can you? I would suggest
the people who laughably are called jounalists on that rag and the guardian
spend a week living next door to some criminals and see how it compares to
being say Theo Paphitis's neighbour.

The irony of the guardian and its readers is the vast majority of them are
actually quite well off compared to the UK average and their hatred of the rich
or frankly anything to do with the establishment is simply subconcious self
hate and middle class guilt.

Is it against your religion to quote anything from the post that you're
