It is a cross between Pebble Mill and Pudding Lane. I wonder what would happen at such a venue? Yes, it's a pity they didn't take the opportunity to rename it with the re-siting. The old Pudding Mill Lane is hardly an important thoroughfare, so some sort of Olympic Park-related name might have been better for the large new station. Incidentally, here's a panorama shot I took from the existing small station of the large new station under construction in July 2012, just before the Olympics: https://www.flickr.com/photos/reclin...57630569499878 And here's one I took a year ago, from the Orbit tower: https://www.flickr.com/photos/reclin...57633164849794 |

I like the old name but I suppose it really should be... Greenway? Olympic Stadium? (Tourists arrive at Olympia instead.) QE Olympic Park...? I must go and see what the park is like now. I went last Summer, got a sunny day, it was fantastic. Richard. |

I'll be interested to see how easily you can get across the Greenway to the park from the new station. |
