Actually, I thought these would be removed; it's the earlier one(s) that were left there. It's easy to remove TBMs that emerge into a large station tunnel, but difficult to remove the cutter head that first cuts that tunnel. Instead, it's easier to steer it sideways, abandon the cutter head, but dismantle and remove the long mobile tunnel 'factory' behind it. |
