Dwell time on Crossrail?
Just been in Munich (escaped before BeerFest). Central S-bahn lines have
platforms on both sides, one for entry and one for exit. Must significantly reduce dwell times as unloading (alighting) and loading (boarding) take place simultaneously. Was this considered for Crossrail? It is confusing for strangers as in Munich there is no obvious 'up' exit on the entry side if you get out on that side! (We just awaited next train and 'walked through'...) |

I don't think so, but the cars do have three doors, rather than the more normal two. |
