What destinations are served by LCY that are not served by LHR (excepting smaller airports in cities that are served by LHR)? The DLR link right into the terminal is terrific, and the airport has a higher ratio of pax arriving by public transport than London's other airports. People arriving on the northern Crossrail branch can change to the DLR at Stratford, and the Woolwich connection is not bad for the North Kent line. There's a direct link to Bank and an easy cross-platform change to Canary Wharf. City airport is great for people travelling to or from London, but might as well not exist for all other purposes. As I said upthread, it's a local airport. |
