For those interested in developments around KX I discovered that all the documents of the applications submitted in May 2004 are now on the web at: http://www.argentstgeorge.co.uk/live...download-X.htm Jim Chisholm Thanks, Jim, for bringing this to our notice. The Kings Cross Railway Lands are a favourite subject of mine so I dipped into the planning applications and stopped at the one for the Plimsoll Viaduct. All I can say is no wonder these things (planning applications) take so long and cost so much. The same things are said over and over again in the most complicated of language, various items are referred back and forth and I believe that most of what is contained in that document could be written in a tiny fraction of the space they have used. The photos and diagrams are very blurry - altogether a real eye-opener. I haven't yet taken a look at the proposals for demolishing the Culross Building, which I consider to be much more important than the Plimsoll Viaduct, as I'm sure it will give me a headache trying to make sense of it. Heaven help us !! Cheerz, Baz |
