Airship mooring mast at Hanworth ? Philip Morten That's Vehicle 2, yes, in an early aerial view of the Goods yard in 1932 Hindenburg is moored (as you say) at Hanworth Air Park two fields away. Hindenburg was a light vehicle but it wasn't a light vehicle in the way Vehicle 1 was. Vehicle 1 was an experiment in something which is now an everyday (or perhaps that ought to be everynight) occurence. -- Posted via Mailgate.ORG Server - http://www.Mailgate.ORG |
