Waterloo station this afternoon

Was outside Waterloo LU station whilst it was closed this afternoon and
noticed an anomoly with the 'automatic woman'. She annnounced that
"There is a good service on all LU lines this morning"...

a) Waterloo station was closed so at least one line must have been
closed
b) It was afternoon

Er, no. At least one station must have been closed. Often "they"
will close a single stations (for whatever reason; there are many
that can do it) while the trains run through the station non-stop.

b) It was afternoon

Well, that one's a little harder to explain away.

So the Waterloo and City line had trains running from Bank to Bank
non-stop?

I think there was only one mistake in the message - 'is' instead of 'was'
:).

Apparently it's a "good service" when you have to wait 8 minutes for a
Northern Line train from Moorgate to London Bridge (and I hadn't just
missed one), meaning that you miss your connection to NR at London
Bridge...

Yesterday after waiting for 15 minutes for a train at Walthamstow
Central, the annoucement of a "good service" as we pulled out of
Blackhorse Road was certinly a ****-take.
