Apparently it has been reported in other newsgroup forums that Route
73 is to revert back to being a double deck bus route and the bendis redeployed on the Route 29, does anyone know whether any truth exists in this story or is it just mere speculation. If it does revert it will be interesting what reason is given, I suspect bendi buses running the whole length of Oxford Street has been a major problem along with the buses being backed to capacity in the morning peak. I'm curious: why do you mention the residents of SN in particular? What about all the other areas and people along the 73 route? Surely SN has more than one bus service! ;-) -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text. Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing? A: Top-posting. ... There is a consultation under way concerning changes to routes 29 and 141 Is this a consultation that the public can contribute to? While we're on the subject of Green Lanes, I wonder if TfL could pay for some infomercials about box junction law to be broadcast on London Greek Radio. I'm tired of getting beeped at by the car behind every time I correctly observe a box junction in a Greek area. It never happens in any other part of London. -- John Rowland - Spamtrapped Transport Plans for the London Area, updated 2001 http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Acro...69/tpftla.html A man's vehicle is a symbol of his manhood. It wouldn't hurt to broadcast the same on CentreComm either. I used to work overlooking the box junction on Oxford Street / Portman Street and every other cycle during the day it would be blocked eastbound by a London bus. Dave. |
