Taken from Watford Observer , Friday, May 6, 2005
Trains 'more punctual than ever' A LOCAL train operator says that its trains have never been more punctual. Silverlink runs the county route which stops at Bushey, Abbots Langley and Watford. The firm said for the four weeks ending Saturday, April 30, the number of services running on time was up three per cent on the previous period to 92.9 per cent. This is the highest figure the company has on record. The punctuality of trains running at peak times has improved by one per cent, rising to 95.8 per cent. Silverlink's route director, Julian Drury, said " I am delighted that Silverlink County has made such a phenomenal improvement. "This is tremendously encouraging for both customers who use the trains, and the Silverlink team. "This is by no means the end of the story, and in the months ahead we will be doing everything we can to get even more trains running on time." The figures for Silverlink Metro which serves Bushey stayed more or less the same for the period. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ...........
