Hi alll, Can you take a unicycle on the London Underground? You can take a bike on large sections of it and if not it'll certainly give the jobsworths a headache searching for a rule in the rule book to ban it. -- Tony "A facility for quotation covers the absence of original thought" Lord Peter Wimsey (Dorothy L. Tom Anderson wondered:
Can you take a unicycle on the London Underground? I've never had a problem with a 20" wheel, never tried anything bigger. I used to keep a bin bag in my pocket when travelling on the underground with a yike, just in case. I'd guess you'd probably be OK with a 26", a 36" might depend on the time of day and the mood of any staff you have to deal with. -- Danny Colyer (the UK company has been laughed out of my reply address) URL:http://www.speedy5.freeserve.co.uk/danny/ "He who dares not offend cannot be honest." - Thomas Paine |

Imagine having a a bike stuck next to you at 08:30 along with the other 500 people. Grease, ripped tights etc......and then it would be a claim against LUL. My experience of people with bikes has been that they think they should be allowed on as they are saving the nation.....damn the rest of the public and they can climb over the bike to get off. Mal |

Bikes are banned on all sections which require escalators to reach, and all the near-surface lines during the rush hour. As the poster says, what if a Tube train had to be evacuated inside a deep tunnel? One thing I would like to raise in this forum is why bikes are banned on the DLR at all times? What's wrong with bikes at evenings and weekends on the DLR? |
